Barth Company Sewer & Water is a locally owned and operated plumbing company focused on underground utilities, specializing in water services and sewer laterals for residential and commercial properties. We are located in Fenton, MO, and serve the greater St. Louis area.

Mike Barth

Master Plumber & Drainlayer

Mike Barth, a St. Louis County native and a licensed Master Plumber and Drainlayer, has over 15 years of experience serving the greater St. Louis area. He began working in plumbing at age 15 and went full-time at age 17 with a Kirkwood-based company specializing in underground and new construction projects. He completed a four-year Plumbing Technology program through the PHCC and later earned his MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. Mike helped grow the underground plumbing division of a residential HVAC company into an industry leader, eventually serving as Vice President of Operations & Integrations as the organization became one of the nation’s largest home service providers. Wanting to return to a more personal, locally focused approach where quality and customer interactions come first, he founded Barth Company Sewer & Water. Today, Mike works in the field performing sewer inspections, making repairs, educating customers, and training his team. He enjoys hiking and fishing with his wife, Shea, their son, and their dog, Pepper.

Shea Barth, originally from Nashville, Tennessee, now proudly calls Missouri home and brings nearly a decade of experience in the home services industry to her work. Growing up with a father in home renovations sparked her lifelong appreciation for the trades, which deepened after business school when she became the first employee of a startup plumbing and HVAC company in Nashville. As an operations and customer service leader, she was integral in growing the company to a 50+ member team. Being a homeowner and seasoned administrative professional, Shea leads with empathy, understanding the stress of home emergencies and ensuring customers receive prompt, professional, and compassionate service. When her husband Mike decided to launch Barth Company Sewer & Water with a focus on exceptional customer experience and quality craftsmanship, Shea’s expertise naturally became central to building a company rooted in local service and excellence. Today, she continues to improve every part of the customer experience and community engagement, often serving as both the first and last point of contact for customers. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring Missouri’s state parks, quilting, and watching movies with her young son.
