Water Hydrant Installation
A water hydrant is a device connected to an underground water supply that provides easy access to water, especially in emergencies. It is most commonly seen along streets and is used by firefighters to quickly connect hoses and get a strong flow of water to put out fires. A hydrant has valves inside that control the flow of water, and outlets (called nozzles) where hoses can be attached. When the hydrant is turned on using a special tool, water flows from the main pipe up through the hydrant and out through the outlets. It can also sometimes be used for other purposes, such as flushing water lines or providing temporary water access.
