● Assist with project preparation and completion, including loading, securing, transporting, unloading, and organizing materials, tools, and equipment based on the specific job.

● Protect customers' homes, buildings, landscaping, and property before and during work to minimize disruption and prevent unnecessary damage.

● Assist with jobsite setup, including establishing work areas, placing barriers, traffic-control devices, and other required safety equipment.

● Assist with locating, exposing, and working around existing underground utilities and site features in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.

● Assist with excavation and backfill of exterior projects involving sewer, water, storm drainage, and other underground piping systems.

● Assist with the installation, inspection, adjustment, and removal of excavation safety equipment, including trench shoring and protective systems.

● Assist with the installation, repair, replacement, and testing of underground plumbing and piping systems.

● Remove finished surfaces, concrete, asphalt, landscaping, and other materials as necessary to access underground plumbing and piping systems.

● Perform or assist with interior excavation and backfill within homes, buildings, and other structures to access underground plumbing systems.

● Assist with concrete preparation, placement, finishing, and replacement where surfaces have been removed as part of the work.

● Restore disturbed areas upon completion of work, including grading, compacting, sweeping, cleaning, seeding, and installing straw or other restoration materials.

● Operate hand tools, power tools, compaction equipment, pumps, and other jobsite equipment as trained and authorized.

● Assist equipment operators with spotting, signaling, material handling, and maintaining safe clearances around excavation equipment and other machinery.

● Inspect, clean, organize, and properly store company tools, equipment, materials, vehicles, and trailers.

● Promptly report damaged, defective, lost, or unsafe tools, equipment, vehicles, materials, or jobsite conditions to a supervisor.

● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout the project and upon completion.

● Follow plans, specifications, manufacturer instructions, and direction provided by supervisors, project leaders, inspectors, and other authorized personnel.

● Complete required job documentation, photographs, checklists, or other records accurately and in a timely manner, as assigned.

● Maintain professional conduct and appearance while representing the company at customer properties, jobsites, supply houses, and other locations.

● Follow all company policies, procedures, and established work practices.

● Comply with company safety requirements, applicable OSHA regulations, and jobsite-specific safety procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

● Immediately report injuries, incidents, property damage, utility strikes, unsafe conditions, and other jobsite concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

● Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or reasonably necessary for safe and successful job completion.

● Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow company safety policies, procedures, and applicable safety regulations.

● Minimum of two (2) years of experience in construction, plumbing, excavation, underground utilities, home services, or a related field preferred.

● High school diploma or GED required.

● Must be at least 18 years of age.

● Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

● Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools used in construction, or ability to learn their proper operation.

● Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and industry partners.

● Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

● Dependable and punctual, with the ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.

● Ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions, project requirements, and daily work assignments.

● Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including lifting and carrying materials and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more; climbing; bending; kneeling; crouching; digging; and working in and around excavations.

● Ability to perform outdoor work throughout the year in varying weather and environmental conditions.

● Ability to safely access and work within the different environments required by the position, including construction sites, excavations, and confined or limited-access work areas, when properly trained, equipped, and authorized.
