T-Head Replacement

What is a T-Head?

T-Head is a connector shaped like the letter “T” that is used to join three sections of pipe. It typically has one main line and a branch line that comes off at a 90-degree angle, allowing water or waste to either split into two directions or combine into one. T-heads are commonly used to create branch lines, such as supplying water to different fixtures from a single pipe or connecting multiple drainage lines. They come in different types, including equal tees where all openings are the same size, reducing tees where one branch is smaller, and sanitary tees designed specifically for smooth flow in drainage systems. At Barth Company Sewer & Water, we specialize in replacing T-heads. We will first shut off the water supply and drain the system, then cut out the damaged section of pipe. The old fitting is removed, and a new tee is installed using appropriate methods. After the job is complete, we will test for any leaks.
