What is a Sewer Lateral?
A sewer lateral is the pipe that carries wastewater from a property, usually a house or building, to the public sewer main in the street or easement.
Sewer Lateral Repair
A sewer lateral repair consists of locating and accessing the damaged section of the sewer lateral, excavating as necessary, removing the failed or damaged portion of the existing sewer pipe, and installing new sewer piping and fittings. After the repair is completed, the line is inspected and tested to verify proper operation and ensure there are no leaks, blockages, or other defects. Excavated areas are then backfilled and restored as required.
